Stine Seed Company has again topped The Patent Board’s quarterly list which tracks patent portfolio strength and activity in the Food, Beverage and Tobacco (FBT) industry segment. The Patent Board is an independent organization that tracks and analyzes innovation, movement and the business impact of patent assets across 17 industries on a global basis.
According to the report, Stine had a 261 percent increase in Industry Impact during the period while the remainder of the top 10 companies among the FBT industry segment had double-digit increases.
A profile of Stine Seed Company was published in the August 12 Wall Street Journal in a markets section called “A Look at the Leader: Stine Seed” which charts the patent activity and industry impact against the remainder of the sector.
“That a privately-held company like ours can be recognized as a leader in our segment, against such global companies as Kraft and Nestle, is a great testament to Stine’s strength of technology and intellectual property,” says David Thompson, National Marketing and Sales Director for Stine.
