On April 13, 2010 The Patent Board™ released a ranking of the 31 top Food, Beverage and Tobacco companies according to the relative strength of their patent portfolios as measure by Technology Strength™. The Patent Scorecard™ provides an overall assessment of a company’s recent intellectual property quality and quantity at the board level. Food, Beverage and Tobacco companies include companies that are involved in the development of food, beverages, tobacco, additives, ingredients, oils, seed, and livestock feed. The Patent Board™ tracks and analyzes innovation, movement and the business impact of patent assets across 17 industries worldwide.
Stine Seed Company® maintained its top rank, with a sizable lead over its competitors, including a Technology Strength™ score over three times that of the second rank score.
