Tom Larson
Director of Agronomy
Joined Stine Seed Company 2021
In 2021, Iowa native and third-generation farmer Tom Larson joined the Stine team. In his first role as corn technical agronomist, Tom served as an agronomic advisor for Stine grower customers, dealers and sales team members in our northern and eastern territories. Now, as director of agronomy, Tom is responsible for the agronomic training and direction for Stine. He works closely with the corn and soybean product managers to develop product and agronomic information for our sales force. He brings more than 30 years of farming, agronomy and agribusiness experience to his role.
Tom was born and raised on a third-generation family farm near Forest City, Iowa. Actively involved in FFA throughout his youth, Tom transitioned his passion for agriculture into an ag business degree from Iowa State University. Following college, Tom managed a research farm for a large ag corporation for 12 years before diving into seed sales. He spent the next two decades working as a district sales manager for a few regional seed companies.
In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, Tammy, and two daughters, Amanda and Ally. When he’s not busy traveling to Iowa State football games and visiting his children, he and his wife stay active with the local Forest City FFA Alumni Chapter.
